Breastfeeding offers many benefits for both mother and baby. While breastfeeding is natural, it is also a learned skill. Our certified lactation consultants prepare you for breastfeeding with confidence. Some of the topics we cover in class include:
• Preparation for breastfeeding
• Evidence-based benefits of breastfeeding
• Techniques and strategies including positioning and latching
• Managing common concerns of the first few weeks at home
Since the class requires materials, supplies and space, pre-registration is required.
