Childbirth Classes
T.J. Samson Community Hospital encourages all new parents to attend our Childbirth Classes. These educational sessions provide lots of great information to help you prepare for childbirth and caring for your newborn. Topics include what to expect during labor and delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and much more.
The classes are taught by our compassionate, highly-trained Registered Nurses who are committed to helping you have a happy and healthy pregnancy and delivery. In addition to the important education material that is covered, our Childbirth Classes also provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and connect with other new parents.
We now offer three different convenient course options to make it easier for all new parents to attend. As always, these classes include a hospital tour and are provided free of charge for parents who are delivering their babies at T.J. Samson. The traditional Childbirth Class is a four-week course that meets for two hours each week at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital 4th floor classroom. We also offer a convenient one-day Childbirth Class, where all of the material will be covered in a Saturday session. Our Intro to Parenting course, a one-time course, covers information on bathing, swaddling, burping, car seat safety, infant CPR, etc.
