On Tuesday, March 10, Governor Beshear and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services recommended that, in an effort to protect the most vulnerable populations, all state nursing facilities and long-term care facilities stop taking visitors. In line with this recommendation, we have temporarily suspended all visitation on our Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU), which is classified as a long-term care facility. This restriction will be in place until further updates are released by the Governor and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Although our risk and exposure to COVID-19 is still low, these restrictions are necessary to protect the health of our patients and team members.
All other areas of the hospital are following normal visitor guidelines.
